In this view you create period indents. The period indents refer to the requisition for period placement on the timetable. Each indent consists of class, resource, subject, count of periods and constraint (optional). The constraint facilitates controlling the period placement in a timetable to your requirements. You may create period indents in the view of your choice : Class / Resource / Subject. The selection of view would depend on the way your inputs are organised. An indent that you create in one view automatically updates the other two views.

Indent can be : Regular or Cluster. Cluster refers to a situation where you want two, three or more periods consecutively. An indent that is not cluster is regular. Double clicking on the relevant button at the top creates an indent. You can also create multiple indents in one go. Moreover, you can duplicate data of one indent to that of others as you create them.

Initially, an indent falls in the Passive (Indents) Grid to the left. As you transfer it to the Active (Indents) Grid to the right, it gets validated for its accuracy and becomes ready for use in the timetable setting. Also, it acquires a graphical representation appropriate to its properties.  This visual representation makes the data easy to identify. Filters to the left enable you to view only the relevant indents.

Clicking on an indent in the grid shows you its properties on the extreme left panel.
